125 million for electric mobility

MITECO grants an additional €125 million to boost electric mobility in Catalonia, Madrid, Castilla y León and the Balearic Islands

The four autonomous communities have already committed the 152 million initially received in the Incentive Program for Efficient and Sustainable Mobility (MOVES III).

It confirms the success of this programme, initially endowed with 400 million, but which can be extended, depending on demand, to 800 million.

The third edition of MOVES, the first program published in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, finances with direct aid the purchase of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles and the installation of charging infrastructure.

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) is allocating an additional budget of 125 million euros from the Incentive Program for Efficient and Sustainable Mobility (MOVES III) to promote electric mobility in Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, Castilla y León and the Balearic Islands. These four autonomous communities are the first to have committed the funds they originally received and have requested an extension. The budget increase, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) that articulates the Next Generation EU funds, has been approved by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), a body attached to the MITECO and responsible for the call managed by the autonomous communities.
